PURPOSE: A sterilizing and washing apparatus for a water treating apparatus is provided to generate sterilizing and washing water based on an electrode by operating the electrode part of a sterilizing and washing apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A sterilizing and washing apparatus(100) for a water treating apparatus includes an electrode sterilizing module and a connecting member(190). The electrode sterilizing module is separately formed from a water treating apparatus(200). The connecting member connects the electrode sterilizing module and the flow path of the water treating apparatus. The connecting member includes a water introducing pipe, a sterilizing water supplying pipe(191), one or more connecting pipes(180), and a water draining pipe(195).
