APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CALCULATING ERROR OF INERTIAL MEASUREMENT UNIT

PURPOSE: An error calculating apparatus and method of an inertia measuring device are provided to reduce initial stabilization time of an MEMS(Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) base inertia measuring device and to calculate an error to be compensated in the inertia measuring device with a simple prior experiment. CONSTITUTION: A first error calculating unit(110) estimates an error change rate by using a first Karman filter and calculates a first error. The first error is expressed as a function of temperature from transient interval data of an inertia sensor. A second error calculating unit(130) calculates a second error having no connection with temperature from a multi-position test of the inertia sensor after revising the first error. A final error calculating unit(150) calculates a final error by adding the first error and the second error.
