<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match character size and graphic size as the whole sentence and to obtain a layout print result with aligned print position even in the case of sentence information of a plurality of pages in which paper sizes and paper directions are mixed. <P>SOLUTION: In a print control unit which generates print information from sentence information of a plurality of pages in which paper sizes and paper directions are mixed, a printer driver defined an area for printing the sentence information on each page so as to be settled within an area of an integral multiples of a reference printing area to be determined according to a layout parameter to be set by a user in a printing area to be specified by the output paper size (S1301-S1313). Then, the sentence information on each page is reduced by the same reduction magnification to be determined according to the layout parameter for pages which can be printed in the printing area to be laid out in the area defined by the printer driver (S 1314).
