<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade for an image forming apparatus that includes an elastic member designed to allow a user to recognize replacement timing thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A blade 1 for an image forming apparatus is formed by disposing an elastic member 3 to be in contact with a contacted body on an elongated plate 2 along the longitudinal direction LD of the plate 2. The elastic member 3 is formed by laminating at least two layers 3-1, 3-2 made of heterogeneous materials.
