<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten salt battery device, a molten salt battery system, and a control method for the molten salt battery device that can shorten an apparent standby time during start-up. <P>SOLUTION: A molten salt battery device 1 which includes a plurality of molten salt batteries 31 receives a start-up instruction including a time limit of start-up, and starts heating the molten salt batteries 31 by a heater 32 so as to be in time before the time limit in a state in which the molten salt batteries 31 stop. Molten salt in the molten salt battery 31 is molten before the time limit of the start-up, and the molten salt batteries 31 become ready to be charged and discharged. Namely, the molten salt battery device 1 serve for what is called timer start-up. Alternatively, a user inputs a start-up instruction to a transmission device at a distant from the molten salt battery device 1, and the transmission device transmits the start-up instruction to the molten salt battery device 1, which starts up according to the start-up instruction.
