<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably supply electric power by detecting foreign matter. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply device which supplies electric power to electronic equipment by wireless includes: a power supply means of supplying predetermined electric power to the electronic equipment; a first detection means of detecting the distance between the power supply device and foreign matter being within a predetermined range according to a variation quantity indicative of variation in amplitude of the predetermined electric power; and a second detection means of detecting the distance between the power supply device and the foreign matter being within the predetermined range according to an amplitude value indicative of the amplitude of the predetermined electric power. The power supply device controls the power supply means so that when one of the first detection means and second detection means detects the distance between the power supply device and the foreign matter is within the predetermined range, the predetermined electric power decreases below a predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
