<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a stable and safe agent which is a gene expression promotor for an adiponectin receptor, and can daily be used. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the gene expression promotor for the adiponectin receptor comprising one or two or more kinds of compounds selected from the group consisting of resveratrol, fucoxanthin and guggulsterone, and derivatives and/or salts thereof. The guggulsterone may be (Z)-guggulsterone and/or (E)-guggulsterone. The adiponectin receptor may be adiponectin receptor 1 and/or 2.
