<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable learning with the use of general documents, without separately using any content. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic writing device includes: an electronic pen portion 11 which transmits pen-down signals; a scanner 52 which optically reads the letters of a general document 30 and generates optical data; a coil 54 in an electronic marker portion 12 which transmits marker-down signals for detecting the location of the optical data; and a flash memory 70 that stores the optical data and its average reading position in association with each other. The control procedure of the electronic writing device includes: calculating the average reading positions of stroke data and the optical data on the basis of the results of reception of the pen-down signals and the marker-down signals; generating the stroke data that can be written into the general document 30 by the electronic pen portion 11 on the basis of the results of reception of the pen-down signals; comparing the average reading position of the stroke data and that of the optical data and determining the optical data which corresponds to the stroke data; and determining whether the letters of the optical data and those of the stroke data have the same content or not. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
