<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air electrode and an air battery capable of achieving high energy density of the air battery by increasing the active site of a catalyst added to the air electrode and then sufficiently exhibiting a catalyst function. <P>SOLUTION: The air electrode for the air battery is the air electrode constituting the air battery equipped with the air electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte interposed between the air electrode and the negative electrode, and includes a magnet. The air battery is equipped with the air electrode. Provided is a method of manufacturing the air electrode constituting the air battery equipped with the air electrode, the negative electrode and the electrolyte interposed between the air electrode and the negative electrode.
