<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer able to determine a print output even in print processing in a toner save mode, reduce toner consumption, and eliminate waste of paper. <P>SOLUTION: The printer comprises: first storage means for storing image data based on toner save rate for each color; second storage means for storing the threshold value of a printing rate from which that of a specific color is removed in advance; control means for comparing the printing rate of each color included in the image data from which the specific color is removed in advance, with the threshold value stored in the second storage means, and outputting image data, stored in the first storage means, based on the result of the comparison; and print processing means for performing print processing on a recording medium based on the output image data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
