<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic book reader which can be operated by a user with just one hand. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic book reader of this invention includes: a display which is positioned on a front face and displays an electronic book; a back surface plate which is positioned on a back surface and is parallel with the display; and a side plate which is positioned on a side face and is connected between the display and the back surface plate.
