<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, authentication program and storage medium which can reduce unintended use. <P>SOLUTION: A confirmation section 132 confirms the presence or absence of connection of a detachable storage medium, and the presence or absence of an original document placement on an original document transport section for transporting the original document placed thereon. An authentication control section 134 controls authentication and transits the authentication state from a non-authenticating state to an authenticating state when the authentification is allowed. A function execution section 138 executes a function when the authentication state is the authenticating state. The authentication control section 134 controls the transition of the authentication state from the authenticating state to the non-authenticating state on the basis of the presence or absence of the connection of the storage medium in the non-authenticating state and the presence or absence of the original document placement, and the presence or absence of the connection of the storage medium in the authenticating state and the presence or absence of the original document placement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
