<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor system of a passenger conveyer that can reliably and smoothly rotate a rotor and facilitate installation to the passenger conveyer and maintenance. <P>SOLUTION: The rotor system 10 of the passenger conveyer has the rotor 22 that is adjacent to a parapet panel 15 breadthwise outside the passenger conveyer rather than the parapet panel 15, a rotor motor 23 that is arranged separately from a driving machine 5 to generate a driving force for rotating the rotor 22 independently, a force transmitting unit 24 that transmits the driving force of the rotor motor 23 to the rotor 22, a protection cover unit 13 that clads the rotor 22, the rotor motor 23 and the force transmitting unit 24 from the breadthwise outside of the passenger conveyer, and a rotor control unit 14 that controls the rotor motor 23.
