<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easel that is made lightweight as a portable easel, that can be simply assembled/stored and stably mounted with a drawing board such as a sketchbook and a canvas, and that is so small and light as to take no large space for storing. <P>SOLUTION: The easel 10 on which a drawing board 80 or a top plate is placed, includes: a plurality of rod-shaped easel legs 1, 2, and 3; a plurality of through-holes 4, 5, and 6 perpendicular to the axes of the easel legs and penetrating at prescribed positions; a plurality of bar springs 30, 31, and 32 inserted into the through-holes and formed with the wires connecting the easel legs; and center restraining members 20 and 21 restraining the center part of the plurality of easel legs 1, 2, and 3.
