<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque sensor in which variance in magnetic balance can be suppressed while ensuring high reliability of the torque sensor, and a motor-driven power steering with the same. <P>SOLUTION: A torque sensor includes a torque detection unit 10 having a plurality of pairs of detection coils 13a, 13b, 14a and 14b in which impedance is changed inversely to each other in accordance with torque generated in a rotary axis, a plurality of sets of bridge circuits configured by connecting in series a resistor to each of the plurality of pairs of detection coils, and a plurality of sets of torque calculation units each applying an AC signal to each of the plurality of sets of bridge circuits and calculating detection torque based on a differential signal of the plurality of sets of bridge circuits. Magnetic shield members 18a and 18b are arranged around the torque detection unit 10 and at least a part of the magnetic shield members is molded integrally in a housing 5a having a magnetic shield function which supports the torque detection unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
