<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravure coating apparatus, which prevents a base material film from being stained and improves both product quality and productivity by reducing the cleaning time of the gravure coating apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The gravure coating apparatus 10 comprises at least a plate cylinder 1 and a furnisher roll 2, wherein the roll width of the furnisher roll 2 is the same as or shorter than the roll width of the plate cylinder 1, and an L-shaped member 3 or a U-shaped member comprising a damming function part 12 and a supplementary doctor function part 14 is disposed in the vicinity of an ink reservoir formed at a position where the plate cylinder 1 and the furnisher roll 2 are located closest to each other.
