<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform character recognition processing and retrieval processing of identification numbers while correcting incorrect alignment of digits. <P>SOLUTION: Coincidence ratio is calculated by comparing a first identification number obtained by performing character recognition of respective digits forming identification numbers while allocating predetermined characters to digits whose characters cannot be established with a second identification number showing an identification number to be an object for character recognition processing or retrieval processing. When the coincidence ratio is lower than a reference value, coincidence ratio is calculated by comparing a number obtained by shifting the characters of the respective digits constituting the first identification number in a predetermined direction with the second identification number, and when the coincidence ratio becomes equal to or more than the reference value, processing is continued by using a number after shift as the first identification number. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
