<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a state detection device and a state detection method by which the state of a subject can be detected with high accuracy with a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The state detection device includes: an image processing part 12 for detecting a movement direction of the subject by analyzing an image picking up a subject on bed, a discrimination part 13 for discriminating the current state of the subject on the basis of the movement direction detected by the image processing part and the past state of the subject, and an output part 14 for outputting information indicating the current state of the subject obtained by the discrimination part. By inputting a picked up image of the subject on a bed and analyzing the image, the movement direction of the subject is detected, the current state of the subject is discriminated on the basis of the detected movement direction and the past state of the subject, and the information indicating the current state of the subject obtained by the discrimination is output. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
