<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing device with which power consumption of a device can be appropriately reduced according to its operation mode. <P>SOLUTION: A processing device whose operation mode can be switched by a control unit between a first operation mode and a second operation mode in which the processing device consumes less power than in the first operation mode includes a first power source component whose efficiency becomes high in the current value in the first operation mode and a second power source component whose efficiency becomes high in the current value in the second mode, as a power source component for providing power to a specific component of the processing device. The control unit controls to cause the first power source component to operate when the processing device operates in the first operation mode, cause the second power source component to operate when the processing device operates in the second operation mode, and cause both the first and second power source components to operate for a specific period of time when the control unit switches the operation mode of the processing device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
