<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a squirrel-cage rotor of an induction motor which can be manufactured by a manufacturing method other than die casting, in which an end ring is reinforced using an easy-to-obtain material, and of which a joining state can be easily confirmed from outside. <P>SOLUTION: A squirrel-cage rotor (10) includes: a rotor core (2) having a plurality of slot holes formed; a plurality of conductor bars (3) inserted into the respective slot holes and made of copper or copper alloy; two conductor end rings (4) joined to the plurality of bars on both end faces of the rotor core and made of copper or copper alloy; and a reinforcing member end ring (5) fitted to at least one conductor end ring and made of a material having larger specific strength than that of copper or copper alloy. the plurality of conductor bars extend through the conductor end ring and reinforcing member end ring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
