FIELD: transport. ^ SUBSTANCE: drive axle comprises housing 1 with hoses 2 and cases with wheel reduction gears 4 secured to its opposite sides, drive coaxial engines 5 and two-stage planetary gearboxes 8 arranged in hoses 2. Sun gears 9, 10 of reduction gearbox planetary trains are engaged with engine hollow shafts while planet carrier 16 is engaged with wheel reduction gearbox input shafts 29. Planetary reduction gearboxes 8 are furnished with axially-displacement control brake mechanisms. Drive axle comprises also working brakes and parking brakes. Drive engines 5 are arranged in axle housing 1 while cases 7 with planetary reduction gearboxes 8 are arranged between said engines and cases 3 of wheel reduction gearboxes 4. Sun gears 9,10 feature different diameters are fitted on torsion shafts 12 coupled with engine hollow shafts 11 and aligned with input shafts 29 of reduction gearboxes 4. Discs 19, 20 are arranged on ring gears 17, 18 of reduction gearboxes 6 while pressure discs 21, 22 are arranged in cases 7.
