<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb structure which can suppress generation of cracks on an outer peripheral wall part, and can prevent defects such as deformation of an outer appearance and leakage of a catalyst even when the crack is generated on the outer peripheral wall part. <P>SOLUTION: The honeycomb structure 1 includes: the cylindrical outer peripheral wall part 3; and a honeycomb part 2 having a partition wall 21 formed in a honeycomb shape in the outer peripheral wall part 3, and many cells 22 partitioned by the partition wall 21. The outer peripheral wall part 3 is formed of a two- or more-layered cylindrical outer peripheral wall layers 31 laminated in a radial direction of the honeycomb structure 1, and a boundary part 32, which is formed between the adjacent outer peripheral wall layers 31, and includes a void boundary part 321 having a plurality of void parts 33.
