PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which appropriate error recovery processing can be carried out when an error occurs at a storage part such as a hard disk drive, and to provide a technology related to the same.

SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a job control unit which executes each job using each piece of image data stored in the storage part, and a detecting means which detects an error in the storage part. The job control part informs a user of a checking request of an output image related to a second job JBb (step S25) before outputting the second job JBb having been already received at the detection of the error when the error is detected during the execution of a first job JBa.
