<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve printing speed. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid discharging apparatus includes: a liquid discharging part for performing a liquid discharging operation for discharging liquid; and a controller executing an image forming and coating processing which forms a plurality of images on a medium by having the liquid discharging part perform the liquid discharging operation and performs the coating of the images. The controller executes the image forming and coating processing by dividing it into first processing and second processing. In the first processing, a common image being an image site common to each of a plurality of the images by performing the liquid discharging operation.
