<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce density unevenness in an image formed on a recording medium in an electrophotographic image forming apparatus regardless of in-plane resistance irregularity of the recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes: a toner image forming device 504 forming a toner image by using at least one toner in a plurality of toners including a colored toner and a transparent toner having a viscoelasticity higher than the viscoelasticity of the colored toner; and a control unit 10 controlling the toner image forming device in such a manner that when characteristics information indicating characteristics of in-plane resistance irregularity of a recording medium to be used indicates that the in-plane resistance irregularity of the recording medium is larger than a preliminarily determined value, the toner image forming device forms a transparent toner image by using the transparent toner so as to allow a toner image formed by using the colored toner to overlap on the transparent toner image formed by using the transparent toner on an intermediate transfer body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
