<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of striking a balance between the maintenance of maneuvering stability and the reduction of rolling resistance. <P>SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire 100 includes a carcass 4 extending in a toroidal shape and forming a tire skeleton and a crossing belt 5 on the outside in the tire radial direction of the carcass 4 in a tread 1, and designates the inside and the outside installed in a vehicle. In surfaces of sidewalls, R1>R2 is satisfied, when assuming curvature radii of curved portions in buttress portions 6a and 6b on the outside and inside installed in the vehicle when viewed in a cross section in the tire width direction, as R1 and R2, respectively. Heights H1 and H2 of maximum width positions 7a and 7b of the sidewalls are H1<H2.
