<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveguide transmission line converter capable of reducing deterioration of frequency characteristics due to processing accuracy variations in a manufacturing process. <P>SOLUTION: The waveguide transmission line converter includes a tubular shaped metal casing whose one end is provided with an opening and the other end is closed by a backshort plate; and a probe conductor. The probe conductor includes a first conductor section extending through the surfaces of the metal casing except for the surface provided with the opening in which one end of the first conductor section is connected to a transmission line located outside the metal casing and the other end thereof is located inside the metal casing; a second conductor section arranged separately from a surface opposed to the surface provided with the opening by a distance of one fourth of a wavelength of a signal inputted through the transmission line in which one end of the second conductor section is connected to the other end of the first conductor section; and a third conductor section arranged in parallel to an extending direction of the metal casing vertical to the surface provided with the opening in which one end of the third conductor section is connected to the other end of the second conductor section and the other end thereof is an open end in the metal casing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
