<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting cable laying method capable of further improving workability to lay a superconducting cable than conventional method. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for laying a superconducting cable 1 having a superconductor layer 12 and an electric insulation layer (normal temperature side electric insulation layer 23), a tubular member 2 and a long member 3 to be combined into the superconducting cable 1 are first independently prepared at a laying site. Then, the prepared tubular member 2 is laid on a pipeline 8 to be a laying site.
