<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application distribution system by which an application suited for an auxiliary device to be used is easily selected. <P>SOLUTION: A communication terminal (10a) transmits hardware information on an auxiliary device (30a) to a server (50). The hardware information includes at least any one of a product name of the auxiliary device (30a) and a machine specific keyword included in a registration process of the auxiliary device (30a) to the communication terminal (10a). The server (50) includes an application/machine correspondence table (60) in which applications are associated with products to be an auxiliary device, a machine/function correspondence table (62) in which the products to be an auxiliary device are associated with functions, an application/function correspondence table (64) in which applications are associated with functions, and a keyword/function correspondence table (66) in which the machine specific keywords are associated with functions.
