<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool (end mill) capable of machining thin-walled components highly accurately and efficiently without being affected by machining conditions so much, because high-density mounting of smaller and lighter electronic devices requires thin-walled components and higher shape accuracy thereof. <P>SOLUTION: Focused on finish machining with less axial depth of cut which has a great effect on the shape accuracy, one cutting edge shape of the end mill having a plurality of cutting edges is sharp-cornered, the other shape forms a front return greater than the axial depth of cut in finish machining, and the plurality of differently-shaped cutting edges are alternately disposed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
