<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve reduction in power consumption and decrease in number of components of a power generation device which uses electromagnetic force. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the power generation device which uses a magnetic memory element such as an MTJ element (magnetic tunnel junction element). The magnetic memory element generates a leakage magnetic field in a parallel magnetization state, so the leakage magnetic field is made to operate on a permanent magnet to generate power. The generation of the power becomes possible by writing a value to the magnetic memory element, so a digital signal comprising a combination of codes "0" and "1" can be used as a driving signal. Consequently, the need for a D/A converter is eliminated to decrease the number of components. Further, the magnetic memory element stays in a parallel state/anti-parallel state once the value is written by supplying a current, and electric power need not be continuously supplied so as to continuously obtain the power, so that the power consumption is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
