<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external electrode type fluorescent lamp by which a desired light emission intensity of ultraviolet radiation is obtained, and thereby continuous spectrum light having a desired intensity distribution is obtained in the wavelength region from ultraviolet light to visible light. <P>SOLUTION: The external electrode type fluorescent lamp is provided with a phosphor film which radiates continuous spectrum light of a wavelength region at least from the ultraviolet region to the visible region. The phosphor film includes a first phosphor layer which is excited with light of wavelength region λ<SP POS="POST">0</SP>(a) to radiate light of wavelength region λ<SP POS="POST">1</SP>(a), and a second phosphor layer which is excited with light of wavelength region λ<SP POS="POST">0</SP>(b) including at least a part of the wavelength region λ<SP POS="POST">1</SP>(a) to radiate light of wavelength region λ<SP POS="POST">1</SP>(b). In the phosphor film, the first phosphor layer and the second phosphor layer are laminated in a state where the fluorescent light radiated from the second phosphor layer is passed through the first phosphor layer and directed to the outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
