<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image noise from appearing on a toner image when a recording sheet transferred with an unfixed toner image is conveyed to a fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: An unfixed toner image on an intermediate transfer belt 18 is electrostatically transferred onto a recording sheet S that is conveyed by a conveyance belt 21. While the recording sheet S is being conveyed by the conveyance belt 21, the unfixed toner image on the recording sheet S is preheated in a non-contact state by a heater 25. Then, the recording sheet S is separated from the conveyance belt 21 and guided to a fixing device 40 by a guide member 28, and the toner image is fixed by heat in the fixing device 40. The heater 25 heats the toner image so as to fuse only the surface layer part of the toner image, without fusing the other parts than the surface layer part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
