<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm the presence or absence of passengers in a car from the outside of the car when an emergency call button in the car is pressed. <P>SOLUTION: According to this embodiment, this elevator includes a sensor for detecting the presence or absence of passengers in the car when operated, the emergency call button which accepts the operation of an emergency call from the inside of the car, a call signal output part which outputs the call signal to a communication device when the emergency call button is operated, a sensor start processing part which starts the sensor when the emergency call button is operated, an operation time measuring part which measures the operation time of the sensor before the communication device responses, a detection time measuring part which measures a detection time in which the presence of passengers in the car is detected based on the results of the detection by the started sensor before the communication device responses, a discrimination means which discriminates whether passengers are present or not in the car based on the relation between a time measured by the operation time measuring part and a time measured by the detection time measuring part, and a notification means which notifies a notification device installed on the side of the communication device of the results of the discrimination. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
