<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium transport device that can be made simple and compact, and to provide a recording device with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The medium transport device includes: a separation roller 86a which sends paper sheets P sheet by sheet from a paper sheet storage space S in cooperation with a feed roller 41; a roller holder 86b which holds the separation roller 86a so as to freely contact with and separate from the feed roller 41; a torsion coil spring 86d which energizes the separation roller 86a toward the feed roller 41 through the roller holder 86b; and a biasing force adjusting mechanism 86e which adjusts the biasing force of the torsion coil spring 86d by turning one wire end of the torsion coil spring 86d. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
