<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power supply unit which reduces standby electric power while suppressing a rise in cost, a discharge lamp lighting device using the same, an LED power supply unit, and a luminaire. <P>SOLUTION: An electric power supply unit 14 includes: a boosting chopper circuit 4 which supplies electric power received from a commercial AC power supply 1 to a fluorescent lamp 12; a chopper voltage detection circuit 6 which has a series circuit of resistances Rd4, Rd5, and is connected to the commercial AC power supply 1 in parallel with the boosting chopper circuit 4; a microcomputer 8 and a feedback control circuit 13 which controls output of the boosting chopper circuit 4 based upon a detection result of the chopper voltage detection circuit 6; a control power supply circuit 11 which supplies operation electric power to the microcomputer 8; and a diode D3 which is connected between an output end of the control power supply circuit 11 and an output end of the chopper voltage detection circuit 6, and supplies an input current to the chopper voltage detection circuit 6 as operation electric power of the microcomputer 8 when the microcomputer 8 stops the boosting chopper circuit 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
