<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify an absolute time in event occurrence with a higher probability than before during subsequent diagnosis even without a device for measuring the absolute time in an onboard system for recording diagnostic information and time information together. <P>SOLUTION: A master ECU which operates even while a main power source of a vehicle is ON and OFF, stores on a storage medium elapsed time information 21 which is data varying a value with the lapse of time, varies the elapsed time information 21 at intervals corresponding to the lapse of time, continuously varies the elapsed time information 21 at intervals corresponding to the lapse of time even when the main power source of the vehicle is ON or OFF, and generates and repetitively transmits to a slave ECU vehicle local time containing the elapsed time information 21. The slave ECU receives the vehicle local time transmitted from the master ECU, defines the vehicle local time as a latest vehicle local time, and correspondingly stores the latest vehicle local time and diagnostic information on a storage medium on the basis of the occurrence of the need to record the diagnostic information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
