<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a profile of which color reproduction is improved, while restricting the decrease of a gamut in a device. <P>SOLUTION: A profile generation device generates a profile for converting a first color in a first color space into a second color in a second color space. A multi-dimensional look-up table (LUT) generation part 104 generates a multi-dimensional LUT for allowing the first color to be a value on the input lattice point of the multi-dimensional LUT.
