<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus compatibly attaining low-temperature fixing of a toner image and crease resistance when forming an image using a dry type developing toner. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 includes: an image retaining body 50; charging means 52 for charging the surface of the image retaining body; electrostatic latent image forming means 54 for forming an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the image retaining body; developing means 56 that stores a toner including styrenic thermoplastic elastomer and styrenic thermoplastic resin, and develops the electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of the image retaining body by the toner to form a toner image; transfer means 58 for transferring the toner image to a recording medium; fixing means 40 for fixing the toner image to the recording medium; and solvent application means 70 that, before fixing the toner image to the recording medium, or fixes the toner image thereto, and applies solvent to the toner image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
