<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a compound comprising a double bond, capable of producing a compound comprising a specific double bond at high selectivity. <P>SOLUTION: The method of producing a compound comprising a double bond represented by formula (II) includes subjecting a compound represented by formula (I) to a dehydration reaction in the presence of a dehydration catalyst of a chlorine content of not higher than 1 wt.%.
