<p>PURPOSE: A method for recovering lithium from a cathode active material of a lithium battery is provided to obtain high-purity lithium products by preventing purity reduction due to chlorine ion and sulfate ion mixed in the final lithium products. CONSTITUTION: A method for recovering lithium from a cathode active material of a lithium battery comprises the steps of: dissolving a cathode active material of a lithium battery in an oxalic acid aqueous solution to obtain a lithium-dissolved solution, adding caustic soda to the lithium-dissolved solution in order to deposit and remove impurities, mixing the lithium-dissolved solution with ethanol in order to deposit and separate lithium into lithium carbonate, and washing the lithium carbonate with ethanol to obtain lithium carbonate without impurities.</p> |
