<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag and an airbag device which have excellent air-tightness and gas discharge responsiveness and which are efficient. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag 1 has: an opening 11 which is formed in the surface of the airbag 1; a protrusion 12 which is disposed so as to communicate with the opening 11; a vent hole 13 which is formed in the protrusion 12; a strap 14 which has one end connected to the protrusion 12 and the other end connected to a retainer 3; and a slit 15 which guides the strap 14 to the inside of the airbag 1. The opening 11 is formed only on the center side of the vehicle. The vent hole 13 is disposed in a region in which the protrusion 12 and the airbag 1 are superposed on one another when the protrusion 12 is pulled by the strap 14.
