<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear manufacturing method by which burrs can be removed, the burrs being generated in the end face on the lower side of a workpiece, namely, on the lower side of the feeding operation of a cutter in skiving, without causing for example increase in cost, deterioration in machining accuracy, and interference between the cutter and other members. <P>SOLUTION: The gear manufacturing method using skiving is provided in which a pinion type cutter 1 is used that has an inclined rotary axis Ac relative to the rotary axis Aw of the workpiece 10 to be machined into a gear and, while the cutter 1 is rotated synchronously with the workpiece 10, feeding operation of the cutter is conducted in the tooth line direction of the workpiece 10. In this method, deburring is performed by differentiating, from conditions of cutting a region other than the end face 10c on the lower side, at least any one of the following: feeding speed of the cutter 1; cutting depth; and a relative rotary phase between the cutter 1 and the workpiece 10, in the end face 10c on the lower side of the workpiece 10 that becomes the lower side in the feeding operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
