<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing metal particles, by which the formation of metal particles having an average diameter of 50 nm or more is restrained. <P>SOLUTION: An acidic reaction solution containing metal ions, a titanium trichloride as a reducing agent, a complexing agent, and a dispersing agent is adjusted to have alkaline, and the resulting reaction solution is stirred to precipitate metal particles.
