<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoidably actualize communication with an opposite-party communication terminal in a system by switching a destination list picture to alternative means (alternative picture) and allowing a communication terminal to operate the alternative means (alternative picture) when a communication terminal cannot communicate with the opposite-party communication terminal by operating the destination list picture. <P>SOLUTION: A remote communication management device provides destination list information, determines whether to provide the destination list information and requests a relay device to acquire an authentication ID, and transmits an IP address of a relay device and an authentication ID to the terminal. The relay device stores a plurality of authentication IDs, issues an authentication ID, and performs terminal authentication on receiving a first connection request including the authentication ID of a first terminal and connection authentication between terminals on receiving a second connection request including an authentication ID of a second terminal, and relays data communication between the terminals.
