<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base material for a honeycomb that: has a light weight and sufficient mechanical strength; has heat resistance, fire retardancy, and low moisture absorption; is excellent in size stability; and is used as a member for an aircraft, a structural member for a building, or the like mainly in a field where fire prevention and lightness are significant. <P>SOLUTION: A base material for a honeycomb comprises a substrate of a woven or nonwoven fabric of polyphenylene sulfide fiber, and interfiber voids of the substrate are filled with a porous polyamide imide resin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
