<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent diarylethene derivative in which the fluorescence quantum yield of a ring-closed body having absorption in a visible portion is 0.5 or more by solving problems in the related art. <P>SOLUTION: The photochromic molecule includes a diarylethene compound. The aryl is a benzothiophene-1,1-dioxide-3-yl group with phenyl or 5-membered hetero ring, e.g., thienyl, thiazolyl or furyl, being bonded to the 6-position. The ethene is 3,4,5-hexafluoro-1,2-cyclopentene. The molecule can be used as a photochromic molecule which switches (on/off) fluorescence intensity by light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
