<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device and a control method for saving power that, in such a manner that no circuit component for interrupting the electrical connection is added to a signal input route of an input part in a circuit block which is made to pause by the disconnection of power supply, enables the input part to be protected against a breakdown. <P>SOLUTION: In an electronic device for performing power saving control, there are provided, of non-power saving circuit blocks receiving always power supply, one or more non-power saving circuit blocks that output a signal to one or more power saving circuit blocks which become a state of pause in a power saving mode by the disconnection of the power supply. The one or more non-power saving circuit blocks each include means for holding at a circuit ground level an output signal level to the power saving circuit blocks in performing control for disconnecting the power supply to the power saving circuit blocks. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
