PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weight and low-cost negative electrode material of a lithium secondary battery for a vehicle.

SOLUTION: The negative electrode material of a lithium secondary battery uses aluminium as a part of a metallic element for negative electrode current collecting, specifically, aluminium in which carbon coating is performed on the surface of aluminium foil. For the precipitation of metal lithium in the charging of the negative electrode, the precipitation of lithium metal dendrite related to safety can be prevented due to alloying aluminum while lithium ions are intercalated in a carbon coating layer.
