<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assist stretcher for carrying a patient, the stretcher being able to run even in a narrow passageway between seats as in a plane, train, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The assist stretcher 100 includes a folding chair 15 at the lower end of a rectangular frame 11. The outer frame of the rectangular frame 11 includes a substantially U-shaped frame having a grip 22 with a bent part 27 on the folding chair 15, and a nearly U-shaped frame the lower end side of which from the bent part 27 has a wide grip part 23.
